This song was written back around 2012, and sat on a hard drive for 8 years until 2020. Looking for songs for the new album, I came across this vocoder demo i'd done and thought it would sound better with a real vocal instead of a vocoder. Around that time, I heard a bass student of mine named Lauren singing at a student performance, and thought her voice would fit the song well. It is the first time she has been heard on a recording.
